Map navigation on mobile devices

• Tap on the map
  When tapping on the map, it will be centered on the selected point. If the map scale is smaller than 1:100,000, the map will automatically zoom to the 1:100,000 level. At scales greater than or equal to 1:100,000, the map will only be centered on the selected coordinates, without changing the zoom level.
• Map panning
  The map can be moved by tapping and dragging with one finger.
• Zoom in and zoom out
  Zooming can be performed using the pinch gesture with two fingers.
• Map rotation
  Map rotation is not available. The map always remains oriented with north at the top.

Map navigation on desktop computers

• Click on the map
  When clicking on the map, it will be centered on the selected point. If the map scale is smaller than 1:100,000, the map will automatically zoom to the 1:100,000 level. At scales greater than or equal to 1:100,000, the map will only be centered on the selected coordinates, without changing the zoom level.
• Click and drag
  The map can be moved in any direction by clicking and dragging.
• Zoom in and zoom out
  Zooming can be performed using the mouse wheel.
• Keyboard navigation
  The map can also be controlled using the keyboard:
  • arrow keys (up, down, left, right) for panning;
  • plus (+) and minus (-) keys for zooming in and out.
• Map rotation
  Map rotation is not available. The map always remains oriented with north at the top.

Control button meanings

	Closes the current view and returns to the main page of the website.
	Displays the map in full screen mode for an extended view.
	Exits full screen mode and returns to the normal map view.
	Zooms out so that the entire map of Romania is visible.
	Switches the map display between the topographic map and the satellite image.
	Opens the interactive panoramic view page for the selected location.
	Centers the map on the user's current position using the device’s GPS location.
	Indicates that the current position has been successfully identified and the map is centered on it.
	Indicates that GPS location is unavailable or cannot be determined.
	Opens the map legend, with explanations for symbols, colors, and displayed data types.
	Opens this user guide with information about map navigation and available features.
	Opens general and technical information about the map.

Information button meanings

• These buttons become available only when a weather station or a tourist attraction is detected near the center of the map.
• The icons of these buttons change depending on the weather conditions or the type of tourist attraction.

	Opens information about the current weather conditions.
	Opens information about the natural tourist attraction.
	Opens information about the cultural-historical tourist attraction.
	Opens information about the sport and recreational tourist attraction.
	Opens information about the religious tourist attraction.
